The SCAN product family consists of dental impression materials based on addition polymerizing silicones (vinyl polysiloxanes). SCAN impression materials enable extremely precise and stable impressions and come in different viscosities.

2. Storage
Store in a dry place, with temperature between 2ºC and 28ºC.
3. Instructions for use
3.1. APPLICATION TECHNIQUES
3.1.1. Manipulation – Scan Putty a. Do not use latex gloves when mixing by hand. Some components present in latex can inhibit the curing reaction and therefore it is recommended to sanitize hands without gloves or to use vinyl gloves. b. Dose equal amounts of the base paste and the catalyst paste, using the dosing spoons. c. Mix the two pastes, with the fingertips, for up to 30s, ensuring that a homogeneous mixture is obtained. d. Insert the prepared material into the tray and take the impression.
3.1.2. Manipulation – Scan (in cartridges) a. Inserting the cartridge into the dispensing gun. b. Remove the cartridge cover and discard. c. Operate the trigger until both pastes come out at the same time, and only then, attach the auto-mixing tip. This procedure is important because it equalizes the output of the two pastes and allows for perfect mixing. d. Activate the trigger of the dispenser gun and use the desired quantity. e. Use the self-mixing tip as a lid and remove only when using it the next time. If necessary, perform disinfection procedure with alcohol 70 º.
3.1.3. Manipulation – Scan Die When using the Scan Die in conjunction with adhesive or condensation silicone molding, prior application of Isolator silicone sealant is necessary. Spray the Isolator on the molding surface that will receive the silicone for model – Scan Die. Wait for the solvent to dry until it is possible to observe the formation of a thin film on the molding. This film will prevent the adhesion between the silicones.

ATTENTION: The minimum time for casting is 2 hours and the maximum is 28 days after molding.
4. Precautions, restrictions, warnings
4.1. PRECAUTIONS
– Polymerization of adhesive silicones is inhibited by latex gloves. Wash hands before handling the material or use vinyl gloves. Do not touch the preparations with latex gloves. In case of contamination of the preparations, wash and dry them before impression-taking. Other latex-based materials such as rubber dams and some gingival retractors may affect the polymerization of the material. – SCAN impression materials should only be used by professionals. – Keep the product out of the reach of children.
4.2. RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS
– Eyes: may cause moderate irritation. – Skin: may cause moderate irritation. – Ingestion: may cause gastric irritation. – Inhalation: may cause irritation of the upper respiratory tract. – Allergy: the product is contraindicated for people allergic to the components of the formula. – Avoid direct contact of SCAN molding products with skin and eyes. In case of contact, remove material immediately and wash thoroughly with soap and water.

– Molding for indirect restorations. – Molding of edentulous arches. – Molding of implants and their components. – Matrices for diagnostic wax-up and mounting of study models. – Moldings for occlusion recording. – Matrices for temporary and definitive restorations. – Silicone for semi-rigid models.
